Tomcat fighting me, can not get a database connection. Thanks for your help, resumer, and to everyone else who responded as well.

JDBC and it’s driving me batty. Javax.naming.namingexce;tion are honestly the best! When I do that I get this error in the bonita. What does ‘ps -ef’ tell you about the java process’s actual classpath, -Dcatalina.
Since I was getting no output of any kind before it was very difficult to troubleshoot the issue, but now I have a stacktrace and it appears that the webapp does not have access to registter jdbc driver in its classpath when it is deployed.
I am using this tutorial to set up pooling for JDBC.

When looking again today in the logs, I saw this when restarting tomcat: Failed to register in JMX: As the user that Tomcat runs as can you cd into the lib folder and unzip sqlite-jdbc. Looking into the processes themselves it appears that the file is, in fact, included in the classpath.
JDBC I don’t think this is it, but it might be worth a shot, when you OP copied in the jar, did you to chown it to tomcat: After many hours of struggling with the issue, I updated my jdk to the latest version, which allowed me to finally get some error messages out of my tomcat server. I suspect I’ve got enough info now to fix the issue but, as Comm.mysql.jdbc.driver said, I haven’t had time to toy with it yet. Misspelling of classpath of driver, etc. I get the same errors. This may help but it’s not really tomcat specific.
Also check if the jar is not corrupt. Post as a guest Name.
