What version rdkms driver are you using? The problem is that the r module loads fine I see it in lsmodbut it’s not associated with the card so it doesn’t show up in ifconfig exactly as blackkist happened to lumi in Make Linux load specific driver for given device Realtek NIC. What I think happened is that something else on the system restored the old initrd. Yes, this solved the problem. Does this mean that I have to recompile the kernel to remove the r module?
